The Latin America and the Caribbean Gender Innovation Lab, LACGIL, provides ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ operational teams, policy makers, and development practitioners with knowledge to promote gender equality and drive change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The LACGIL is hosted by the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳'s Poverty and Equity Global Practice, and the team supports studies to learn what works to close gender gaps and disseminates research findings to broad audiences.
AREAS OF WORK
The new ? focuses on three strategic objectives: 1) end gender-based violence and elevate human capital, 2) expand and enable economic opportunities, and 3) engage women as leaders.?
Within these areas, the LACGIL carries out both ¡®inferential studies¡¯ to identify gender gaps and their drivers and ¡®impact evaluations¡¯ to test solutions to these gaps.
