    Frederic Meunier

    Frederic Meunier joined the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2010 and is an Economist with the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. He currently leads the Entrepreneurship database project ¨C which measures trends in entrepreneurship around the world. He also developed the We-Fi Data Project ¨C which assesses the gap between female and male entrepreneurs. He obtained a bachelor¡¯s degree in economics from Sciences Po and studied at Georgetown University. He holds a master¡¯s degree in economics from the College of Europe (Belgium) and a master's degree in international business from ESSEC business school. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Meunier worked at Soci¨¦t¨¦ G¨¦n¨¦rale Corporate & Investment Banking, where he focused on project finance and public private partnerships. He speaks French and is conversant in German and Spanish.

    Cyriane Coste

    Cyriane Coste joined the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in January 2016. Her work is focused on business regulation and entrepreneurship. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business and Economics Law from Georgetown University. She is an attorney admitted in New York State and France. Prior to joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Group, Ms. Coste worked in international law firms in Washington, DC and in Paris on corporate and trade law issues. She speaks French and Spanish.

    Ekaterina Grushko

    Ekaterina Grushko joined the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2022 and is an Investment Policy and Promotion Analyst within the Investment Climate Unit. Ekaterina works on private sector development, investment promotion, and green economy. She holds a Master of Science degree in Quantitative Finance from Vienna University of Economics and Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economic Relations from Moscow State University of International Relations. Ekaterina has prior professional experience in green finance and banking, market analytics, ESG and sustainable development, and enjoys playing tennis and travelling. She speaks Russian, English, French, Bulgarian, and Portuguese.

    Marina Kayumova

    Marina Kayumova is an Operations Analyst working on private sector development, entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation. She led the development of digital indicators, analytical work on digital development, inclusive digital economy, innovation of SMEs, regulatory enablers, and digital agriculture. Before joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Group in 2015, Marina was a Research Fellow at George Washington University. Previously she worked for GSM Association in London and European Parliament in Brussels. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Innovation, Strategy and Organization from the University of Cambridge, UK and a Master¡¯s Degree in Advanced European Studies and International Relations from the European Institute, France. Marina speaks French, Russian and is conversant in Spanish.

    Sarah Kouhlani-Nolla

    Sarah Kouhlani-Nolla is a Private Sector Development analyst, with expertise in assessment of entrepreneurial climate. Before joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, she worked at the Fragility, Conflict and Violence group of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and at UNDP on Governance and Peacebuilding. Ms. Kouhlani holds a Master¡¯s in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, where she was a Fulbright scholar, and a double bachelor¡¯s degree in Law and Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She speaks French, Arabic and Spanish.

    Ricardo Martins Maia

    Ricardo Maia joined the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2021. He holds a Master¡¯s degree in International Development from IE University (Spain) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Porto (Portugal). Originally from Portugal, he is interested in Development Economics, Sustainability and Social Inclusion. Ricardo has professional experience in project management, finance, humanitarian aid, social entrepreneurship and research, and enjoys painting, hiking and travelling. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, Tetum and English.

    Reem Hashad

    Reem Hashad joined the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2023 as an Analyst working on the Entrepreneurship Database project. Earlier, she contributed to the development of a toolkit to measure indirect jobs at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳'s Social Protect and Jobs Global Practice. Reem obtained a Ph.D. as well as a master's degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master¡¯s and a bachelor's degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo. Prior to joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, Reem was a Research Agricultural Economist at the Food Economics Division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). She speaks Arabic.
