Anna Bjerde, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, discusses Kazakhstan¡¯s path to a green economy, and stresses the importance of a just transition to cleaner energy that focuses on people. Ms. Bjerde also touches upon the Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) ¡ª undertaken jointly by the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and Kazakhstan ¡ª that will help inform the country¡¯s approach and strategy in pursuing green, sustainable growth. This video was recorded during Ms. Bjerde's visit to Nur-Sultan in November 2021, where she participated in a brainstorming session with Prime Minister Askar Mamin. This session brought together government officials, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ experts, and representatives from the private sector, to explore possibilities for decarbonizing Kazakhstan¡¯s economy.
