The Executive Director¡¯s Office in the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in Washington, DC serves as Secretariat and coordinating center for the Constituency. A rotation system is adopted to provide countries equal opportunity to serve the Constituency. They nominate candidates to serve as Executive Director and Alternate Executive Director in the Executive Board of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, as well as Chief Executive Officer and Alternate of the Secretariat.
Constituency Rules
The Africa Group 1 Constituency is governed by the which were agreed in September 2003 in Dubai, UAE during the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Annual Meetings and last updated in 2016.
The Rules are reform efforts by Governors with the view to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of representation at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Group and IMF.
The Rules are subject to review every five years and cover the following:
Constituency Meetings
A minimum of two ordinary meetings of the Constituency are held every year. One during the African Development Bank¡¯s Annual Meetings and the other during the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳/IMF Annual Meetings.
