Title: ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Symposium: A Silver Lining for Aging Societies? Discussion on the Future of Social Protection & Jobs

Description: Population aging has, in recent decades become a pressing issue for a growing number of developing countries. It is happening at a much faster rate and at much lower country income levels than occurred in OECD countries. Population aging presents a range of challenges but also some opportunities, ranging from macro and fiscal, to the labor market, to sectoral policies in social protection, healthcare, long-term care, and other areas. ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Social Protection & Jobs team is committed to supporting countries as they navigate the demographic transition. Join us in this symposium and hear from leaders, partners, and practitioners on how we can help countries adapt to societal aging.  We will discuss some principles that can shape inclusive and productive aging societies and how the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, through its cross-sectoral collaboration, aims to provide support that is greater than the sum of its parts.
