Kimm Gnangnon is Senior Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. Prior to that position, he worked as Economist at the World Trade Organization (WTO), including as part of the team that services the WTO¡¯s Committee on Trade and Development (2016-2023), and as the WTO¡¯s Focal Point on matters pertaining to the Least Developed Countries (LDC) (2013-2015). He also served as Economist at the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) (2011-2013), Statistical Officer at the WTO (2008-2009), and Consultant at the French Agency for Development (2007).
His research interests cover macro-related trade and development issues. His work has been published in academic journals such as Economic Modelling; Economics of Transition and Institutional Change; Information Economics and Policy; International Economics and Economic Policy; Journal of the Japanese and International Economies; Journal of International Trade and Economic Development; Journal of International Development; the CESifo Economic Studies; Review of Development Economics; Structural Change and Economic Dynamics; World Development; and the World Economy.
He holds a PhD degree in Development Economics and Master degrees respectively in Development Economics, and Project Management from CERDI (Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le D¨¦veloppement International), University of Clermont-Ferrand (France). He also holds a degree in Statistics from the Institut National d'Economie, University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin).
