Guadalupe (Lupe) Bedoya is a Senior Economist in the Development Impact department (DIME) at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. Her research focuses on the role of accountability mechanisms to reduce market failures, particularly in safety markets (patient safety, road safety, building safety), and multi-faceted interventions to reduce poverty in fragile contexts. She received a master¡¯s degree in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Before joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, Lupe worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Planning in Colombia.
