Francesca de Nicola is a Senior Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for East Asia and the Pacific at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ where she conducts research on productivity and innovation. Francesca has been involved in various operational assignments on private sector and financial market development, since joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ as a Young Professional. She started her career at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), doing research on issues related to weather insurance.
She holds a PhD in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University and has published in top field journals such as Journal of Development Economics, Quantitative Economics and Energy Economics.
