Alejandro Molnar is an Economist in the Sustainability and Infrastructure team of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳'s Development Research Group. Molnar's work applies economic theory and econometrics in the areas of transportation, industrial organization, international trade and digital platforms. His work involves the use of urban sensor and remote-sensed data at high spatial and time resolutions, as well as big data from online and administrative sources.?
Prior to joining the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in 2019, he was a faculty member at Vanderbilt University in the United States, where he taught Empirical Industrial Organization at the PhD level. He received a Licenciatura degree in 2004 from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a Ph.D. in 2013 from Stanford University, both in Economics.
